The Community Foundation of PEI

The sea and soil. They define this place.  Our people, geography, communities and economy are intimately connected to our Island reality.

The wind and waves shape us as a people. We are resilient.

Since 1993 the Community Foundation of Prince Edward Island has harnessed the instinctive love of Islanders to nurture and care for others.

CFPEI’s mandate is simple: take great ideas and transform them into targetted charitable investments that benefit students, individuals, local charities and communities across Prince Edward Island.

We make it EASY for you. All you have to do is dream your dream and CFPEI does the work to make it become a reality.

Want to fund an endowment? We can do that.

Want us to manage an flowthrough fund and maintain where and how those funds are dispersed? We can do that.

Want to create a mix of those? We can do that too.

The Community Foundation of PEI is donor focussed, meaning we do whatever a donor wants. In essence we act as a private foundation at a fraction of the cost.

CFPEI is one of almost 200 community foundations across Canada. We are experts in charitable giving and guided by the highest standards of administrative, financial and fund oversight. We work hard to ensure you always have peace of mind.

Our board of directors is comprised of leading Islanders living in communities across PEI. We are here for the long haul. This is our home.  We want future generations to benefit from your generosity and our work.

Leaving a legacy is not only for the super wealthy. We manage many funds that are not huge in dollar value but that deliver major benefit. We’ll treat you with the respect, transparency and professionalism you deserve.

Still unsure if the Community Foundation is the right fit for your dream? Let’s have a chat about what we can do to ensure your dream becomes a reality that keeps giving forever.
