Drs. Gerry & Brian Barrett DAPEI Legacy Fund
The Drs. Gerry & Brian Barrett DAPEI Legacy Fund was established by the Dental Association of PEI (DAPEI) in 2010 with annual granting in support of key initiatives:
- The Drs. Gerry & Brian Barrett DAPEI Legacy Fund Scholarship
This scholarship is intended for a PEI graduate entering their third or fourth year of a Doctor of Dental Surgery or equivalent program at Dalhousie University, and who has a combination of achieving high marks and of being actively involved in volunteer activities at the dental school student organization or similar organization. - The Holland College Dental Assisting Entrance Bursary
This scholarship is intended for a PEI graduate to attend the Dental Assisting Program at Holland College. - Dental Treatment
The balance of the funds available for granting (after the scholarship has been determined) will be made available as a way to provide extensive dental treatment needed because of disease, accident or heredity available to a low-income Islander who has no other financial assistance.
