ACT was created in 1995 by a group of dedicated, theatre-loving individuals on Prince Edward Island. Since then it has presented top-quality productions, including blockbuster musicals (Jesus Christ Superstar, HMS Pinafore, The Rocky Horror Show, Sweeney Todd); strong dramas (The Crucible, Julius Caesar, Waiting for Godot, Macbeth); classics (The Mousetrap, The School for Scandal); delightful comedies (Noises Off, Lend Me a Tenor, Midsummer Night’s Dream); and much more. In 2020, ACT celebrated its 25th anniversary.
This scholarship, as a tribute to Island screen and stage actor Bill McFadden who passed away in 2020, will be awarded to a PEI graduate that with good academic standing who has participated in performance activities in high school and who intends to pursue this field of study.
