The Donagh Regional School Playground Fund was established at the Community Foundation of PEI in 2025 by the Public Schools Branch to raise funds in support of the Donagh Regional School Playground.
About the “Dream Playground Build”
The Donagh Regional Home and School Committee is requesting financial donations for our “Dream Playground Build” in the final phase of playground updates in the past 3 years.
The home and school committee, parents and students have worked very hard since spring 2022 to fundraise and begin playground updates. The students are happy with the new equipment, and love to play on it. Once the “Dream Playground Build” project is complete, future fundraised money will go towards other school initiatives like our breakfast program, student wellbeing programs and any teacher requests for items for school use.
In Phase 3, we are planning to add a new playground structure from Blue Imp, purchased and installed by Fundy Fence, in the K-2 area (pictured below). The current structure is 25 years old and was put in when the school was opened in 2001. In the coming years, the current structure will need to be removed. Additionally, we will add a new structure to the 5-6 area (pictured below). The current structure has reached its lifespan.
We are requesting additional financial assistance to go towards this large build for our youngest Donagh dragons.
Your donation is greatly appreciated by our home and school volunteers, students and staff and school community. Our small rural school deserves fresh, new structures to grow with our community in years to come.

PROGRESS TO DATE
Phase 2
In Phase 2, Fall 2024, Cobequid Consulting installed a climbing wall, zip line and walk bridge. These additions were added in the Grade 3-4 area. In Spring 2025, Shiny Paint created sensory pavement art on an existing hockey pad in the K-2 area.
Phase 1
Phase 1 in Spring 2023, Cobequid Consulting installed a birds nest swings
and an inclusive carousel in the Kindergarten to Grade 2 area. A teaching circle bench and whale drum was added to the Grade 3-4 area. Three ‘Newton Lake playhouses’ were added in each grade area.
