PCU Impact Fund
The PCU Impact Fund was established at Community Foundation of PEI by Provincial Credit Union in 2025. This fund is intended to provide annual granting in support of charitable projects across PEI that fall under at least one of the focus areas listed below. Projects are intended to be strategic in nature and as the name suggests, should make an impact.
Focus Areas:
- Supporting the Inclusion of Newcomers, Racialized, and Marginalized Communities
- This focus area aims to foster equity, inclusion, and belonging by supporting initiatives that empower underrepresented groups, including immigrants, refugees, Indigenous peoples, racialized communities, and other marginalized populations.
- Addressing Homelessness and Housing Needs
- This focus area aims to support efforts to prevent homelessness, provide emergency shelter, and create pathways to stable, affordable housing for vulnerable populations.
- Supporting Success in School for Children and Youth
- This focus area aims to support programs that enhance educational outcomes, promote school engagement, and support the well-being of children and youth, especially those facing systemic barriers.
- Developing Financial Literacy in Communities
- This focus area aims to support initiatives that build financial knowledge, skills, and confidence among individuals and families, particularly those with low incomes or limited access to financial education.
- Other
- This focus area aims to support emerging community needs that fall outside the above funding categories, offering flexibility for innovative or responsive initiatives
