Building a Stronger PEI Together

The CFPEI Community Impact Fund was established in 2019, by the Community Foundation of PEI, to help improve the overall well-being of Prince Edward Island, and to respond to grant applications, emergency requests and emerging needs from the charitable sector throughout Prince Edward Island.

The new and improved Community Foundation of PEI Community Impact Fund is a bold new initiative by the Foundation to empower Islanders to create meaningful, lasting change in their communities. Rooted in the themes identified in our Vital Signs Report (coming soon – click HERE to join the wait list to receive the report as soon as it’s available), this fund will support projects that address the most pressing needs and opportunities across Prince Edward Island.

To launch this initiative, the Foundation is committing a minimum of $100,000 to the Community Impact Fund granting pool. These funds will be drawn from: 1) Existing endowment funds already established to support community impact, and 2) the Foundation’s own resources, reflecting our deep commitment to this vision.

The Fund is now organized around 8 key themes that reflect the diverse and evolving priorities of our communities: 1) Affordability, 2) Arts, Culture & Recreation, 3) Diversity & Getting Started, 4) Environment, 5) Health & Well-Being, 6) Housing, 7) Learning & Education, and 8) People & Work.
