The Catherine G. Hennessey Endowment Fund was originally established by the City of Charlottetown in 2010 to honour the contributions of Catherine G. Hennessey and to recognize her commitment to the preservation of heritage and urban planning to the City of Charlottetown.
The purpose of the Fund is to support projects that create learning experiences to enhance urban planning and the appreciation of heritage preservation, including but not limited to:
• Increase the love for the City of Charlottetown
• Educate Charlottetown citizens on architectural design and landscape
• Educate Charlottetown citizens on the significant role that Charlottetown plays to the rest of Canada
• Educate youth on the history of the City of Charlottetown
• Create learning experiences that enhance urban planning and the appreciation of heritage preservation
