Charlottetown Library Learning Centre Fund
While the Charlottetown Library has served the community admirably since 1965, it is simply inadequate for the demands of a contemporary
Library Learning Centre. Charlottetown Library Learning Centre Inc. (CLLC) has launched a capital project to assist the funding that will more than triple the size of the facility to 42,000 sq ft.
The new CLLC encompasses the entire ground floor of the Dominion Building in the heart of Downtown Charlottetown, and adds a whole new dimension to the already bustling downtown creative hub. Incorporating the latest in modern technology and design, it provides an engaging cultural and educational space for adults, youth, and families, including indigenous peoples and vulnerable populations.
Total estimated project cost was $16.8 million, which covers the acquisition of the ground floor, extensive renovations to the space, and new facility equipment.
We’ve started to write the next chapter of the Charlottetown Library Learning Centre story, we’ll need many people to help us finish it.
