A Project Built on the Spirit of Community
For more than 23 years, the APM Centre has been the heart of our community – a place where families gather, athletes grow, and lifelong memories are made. Built and sustained through the Spirit of Community, the Centre stands as a testament to what can be achieved when people come together.

Today, we face a critical opportunity.

With Cornwall and surrounding communities experiencing rapid growth, demand for recreation space has never been higher. Ice time is fully booked. Programs are at capacity. Community events are turning people away.

It’s time to expand.

  • Increase ice capacity to accommodate growing minor hockey, skating, and recreational use
  • Expand multi-purpose space for fitness, programs, and community events
  • Enhance accessibility and usability for all ages and abilities
  • Introduce new retail and service space, creating opportunities for local businesses while improving amenities for users of the facility
  • Explore the development of an on-site childcare/daycare component, helping support working families and making recreation more accessible
  • Strengthen the APM Centre as a regional hub for sport, wellness, and connection

  • Operated primarily through a user-pay model, with only modest support from the Province and surrounding member municipalities, the APM Centre remains largely self- sustaining and carefully managed to ensure annual financial stability
  • Supported by 8 surrounding communities, not backed by a single municipality
  • Financially stable and sustainably managed – operating in the positive year after year
  • Built through through partnership, generosity, and grassroots commitment

From its opening, made possible through the Canada–PEI Infrastructure Program and strong community support, the APM Centre has grown into one of the most heavily used recreation facilities in the region.

  • $50,000 toward rink upgrades and expansion
  • National recognition of our community’s passion for sport and recreation

This achievement highlights what we already know: Our community shows up.

  • Advanced planning and feasibility work
  • Engaged stakeholders and local leadership
  • Built the foundation for a successful expansion

Now, we need your help to bring it to life.

  • Investing in youth development and healthy lifestyles
  • Supporting local families and community connection
  • Helping ensure access to recreation for future generations
  • Strengthening one of the most important shared spaces in our region
