Stephen Turner memorial Fund

The Community Foundation of Prince Edward Island is pleased to be administering the Stephen Turner Memorial Fund on behalf of family and friends of Stephen Turner. The fund has been created in the memory of Stephen Turner, a UPEI and Holland College graduate, community leader and friend, whose life was taken far too soon.

The income raised from this fund will go towards helping young Island leaders further themselves through post-secondary education. An Administration Committee, made up of the friends and family of Stephen Turner who established the fund, will make the selection of the annual recipient.

"Stephen was a kind, compassionate and dependable young man and a very bright individual. His consistent good-natured ability to see the best in people and circumstances won him tremendous personal and professional respect" said the Hon. Doug Currie, Ambassador for the fund.

"The scholarship will assist many deserving Island youth pursue post-secondary education in the province of Prince Edward Island while devoting time in community organizations, which was an area that Stephen excelled in. Stephen was known with his larger than life personality in which ever group he was involved with" said Robert Godfrey, member of the board.

The scholarship will be awarded annually to a student who attends a Prince Edward Island post- secondary institution and have shown interest within, and commitment to the political process and community organizations on Prince Edward Island.
