2009 Annual meeting
Dr. Tom Hall and Cheryl Callaghan follow the explanation of
the CFPEI audit given by David Arsenault of ABCE.
Board Changes.
- A hearty vote of thanks to Directors leaving the Board, David
Campbell, John Ives and Marie Salamoun-Dunn and a warm welcome to new
members, Carol Fraser, Tracey Laughlin and Steve McQuaid. Directors are
elected for a three year term; Directors may be re-elected for a second
three-year term after which they must take a minimum of a one-year break
before becoming eligible to rejoin the Board.

Highlights of President.s Report
- Currently administering 40 funds with a value of $1,000,000
- $60,000 granted this year to 35 recipients
- Gave back $1.2 million to the Island community over the past 15 years
- Recognized 130 donors in 2008
- Hosted a summer lecture series of particular interest to people who spend time on the Island on a regular basis.
- Held our first Annual Fundraising Dinner and Silent Auction at the Roma Historic Site in Brudenell to raise funds to support the work of the Foundation.
- Establishment of the Rear Admiral Louise C. Wilmot and Mr. James E. Wilmot Scholarship in support of the training of nurses.
- Undertook memorial plantings near the Confederation Trail entrance in Milton, PEI.
- Memorial gifts were received in memory of Lewis F. Macmillan, Debbie MacMillan-Murray, Joe Geromette, Martha Burka, Roddie and Avis Cummings, Ruth Isobel Roper, Hon. Charles McQuaid, Mary C. McQuaid, Trent Hurry, Mary and Jack Macdonald, Donna Cudmore, Sterling Nicholson, Anne McQuaid and David MacKay
