Investment Review
Our Investment committee welcomed Ann Jackson, Account Manager with PH&N
our investment managers, to their March meeting. Details about investment
returns will appear in a future Newsletter after our annual meeting.
Members of the Investment committee include: John Ives, David Campbell,
Chair, Tom Davies, George Wright, Norman LaLonde, Debbie Good and Joyce
Gaudet.
US Citizens. Reception
Readers who are US citizens are reminded that our third annual reception
will take place on July 4, 2008 at the Culinary Institute of Canada on
Sydney Street. Invitations were be mailed but some were returned last
year because of incomplete addresses. To ensure your invitation, email

Summer Islanders
Plans are underway for both a lecture series and a summer social again
this year. Details will be provided in a later Newsletter
Foundation fund raiser
Mark August 20, 2008 for the Foundation.s first ever fund raising event.
The event will be held in the historic reconstruction at Roma Point near
Brudenell. Tickets are limited so get your tickets early from the
Foundation Office or any Director.
Presentation in Georgetown
On Monday, April 21, CFPEI made a presentation to the Mayor and Council in
Georgetown on the role of community foundations in community development.
The presentation stressed the potential of the Foundation as a means of
engaging individuals and organizations in building endowments and using
the income for community improvement.
