Grants 2006


  1. The PEI Rape/Sexual Assault Crisis Centre from undesignated funds to upgrade a policy and procedures manual.
  2. Girl Guides of Canada - PEI Council from undesignated funds for improving governance.
  3. PEI Canadian Parents for French from undesignated funds for improving organizational governance.
  4. SAVE PEI: Students Against Violence Everywhere (Montague Chapter) from undesignated funds to produce and air radio spots on relationship violence.
  5. Learning Disabilities Association of PEI from undesignated funds in support of a governance workshop.
  6. PEI Division of the Canadian Red Cross from undesignated funds to conduct a seniors survey.
  7. Belfast Consolidated School from the Hesta MacDonald Legacy Fund for the purchase of library books.
  8. Miramichi Rural School from The Glendenning Fund for the purchase of library books.

CFPEI Funds


CFPEI administers 33 funds with a value of nearly $1m dollars. Some Funds are restricted while others are unrestricted.

The first six grants listed on the left come from Funds that are completely unrestricted. The Foundation has complete freedom to make grants for any charitable cause within the Canada Revenue Agency guidelines.

Grants from the last two funds, however, can only be used for the purposes specified when the funds were set up. In the case of the MacDonald Fund, grants can only be made to the Belfast Consolidated School and the Charlottetown Rural High School for the purchase of library books. Grants from the Glendenning Fund can only be used for charitable purposes for the community of Black River
