CFPEI FundsCFPEI administers 33 funds with a value of nearly $1m dollars. Some Funds are restricted while others are unrestricted. The first six grants listed on the left come from Funds that are completely unrestricted. The Foundation has complete freedom to make grants for any charitable cause within the Canada Revenue Agency guidelines. Grants from the last two funds, however, can only be used for the purposes specified when the funds were set up. In the case of the MacDonald Fund, grants can only be made to the Belfast Consolidated School and the Charlottetown Rural High School for the purchase of library books. Grants from the Glendenning Fund can only be used for charitable purposes for the community of Black River
