Jessie Drummond Fund
We are pleased to announce the establishment of the Jessie Drummond Public Speaking Award Fund. The purpose of the Fund established by her son, Stuart Drummond, is to provide an award annually to recognize the contestant achieving the designation of "Best Overall First Time Speaker" at The PEI United Church Youth Public Speaking Competition. Jessie Drummond was a schoolteacher who held the view that public speaking was one of the most important skills that children could develop. The Award recognizes that view and her long and dedicated commitment to the UCW (United Church Women).
