Jack Blanchard Music Program for Kids
The Community Foundation of Prince Edward Island is pleased to be administering The Jack Blanchard Music Program for Kids. This fund was established to honor the memory of Jack Blanchard; teacher, counselor, family man and musician. Jack believed in community. Through his tireless efforts and personal dedication he enriched the lives of others. He brought people together through music. The Holy Redeemer Church Choir, the Christmas and Easter Choirs and the Irish Minstrel Show are examples of Jack.s love for both people and music. His music programs are a deep expression of spiritual fellowship and the importance of building a community of citizens who care for one another. Jack was a warm, kind and gentle man. Monies from this fund will provide bursaries to give elementary school children, with the desire to play music but don.t have the financial means necessary, the opportunity to be involved in music lessons.
