Community Funds
Island Fund - This is an un-designated fund in which the income from the fund is used to support any charitable purpose throughout the Island.

Eric C. Robinson Fund - This fund was created by Edith Robinson in 2001 to honour the memory of her late husband Eric. The income from this fund is used to make grants to local Island organizations in order to enhance the quality of life for Islanders.

Thomas F. Upson & Katherine W. Upson Fund - This fund was established by Thomas and Katherine Upson to award annual grants to existing and emerging charitable needs and organizations.


Interest Funds
Agricultural Equipment Fund - The Foundation established an Island Farm Equipment Fund with an initial contribution from Dr. Thomas Hall. The fund is used for the identification, retrieval, restoration, documentation, storage and display of Agricultural Equipment

Dr. Gerry Barrett DAPEI Legacy Fund - After dedicating most of his life in the dentistry profession, this fund was established in honour of Dr. Gerry Barrett. The money from this fund is used to provide annual grants to a student entering their third or fourth year in Doctor of Dental Surgery or equivalent program at Dalhousie University. The money from the fund can also be granted to a charitable organization, selected by the Community Foundation, on the recommendation of the Dental Association of Prince Edward Island.

Beach and Tennis Club Trust Fund - The Beach Tennis Club Inc. of Stanhope PEI created this fund to provide the Gordon and Helen MacDonald Award to the annual winners of the Tennis PEI Junior female and male competitions.

Dr. Marlene Bryenton . Ghiz Park Fund - The Joseph A. Ghiz Memorial Park was established in 2000. The Park is a Lake of Shining Waters IODE project where at-risk youth help improve and maintain the Park throughout the summer months. This fund was created by Dr. Marlene Bryenton to ensure financial support in perpetuity. The fund provides annual grants for flowers and general maintenance in order to sustain the beauty it is known for.

J. Melville Campbell Fund - This fund was established by Mary Campbell in honour of her late husband J. Melville Campbell. Monies from this fund are used to make grants in support of youth activities across the Island.

Cumberland - Rocky Point Woman's Institute Legacy Fund - The Cumberland-Rocky Point Woman's Institute established the fund as a way to honour the contribution of past and present institute members. Income from the fund makes annual grants to the Westwood Primary School and Elliot River Elementary School libraries to purchase literacy materials and to support literacy programs. Jessie Drummond Fund - This fund was created by Stuart Drummond in memory of his mother who was active in public speaking and thought it was an important skill to have. Monies from the fund provide an award annually to recognize the contestant achieving the designation of "Best Overall First Time Speaker" at the PEI United Church Youth Public Speaking Competition.

Glendenning Family Fund - This fund was established by descendants of Elmer and Jane (Watling) Glendenning of Little Branch, NB to honour their parents and continue their community interests. Income from the fund is used to make grants for any activity that improves the quality of life for the residents of the Black River.

Catherine G. Hennessey Endowment Fund - This fund was established by the citizens of the City of Charlottetown in honor of Catherine Hennessey's. Income from this fund is used to create learning experiences that enhance urban design and promote heritage preservation.

Island Arts & Heritage Stabilization Project Fund - This fund was established to help support the ongoing objectives of IAHSP of increasing visibility and sustainability of the Provincial Arts and Heritage Sector. Monies from the fund provide grants to the Island Arts & Heritage sector to promote, assist, and recognize achievements in sustainability.

J. Gwenyth Lantz Memorial Fund - This fund was established by family members and friends to remember and honour the memory of J. Gwenyth Lantz.

Living Memorial Trust Fund - This fund was created to protect, expand and improve the "greening" of public spaces in Prince Edward Island. Income from this fund assists to beautify our communities; restore our forests and green spaces in public lands; and pay tribute to individuals, events and places.

David "Jiggs" MacDonald and Gerry Rutten Music Legacy Fund - This fund was created to honour the memory of two prominent members of the Island musical community, David MacDonald and Gerry Rutten. The income from this fund awards grants to support Island musicians and community groups. The grant can be used to support scholarships, to assist community groups, to run a music festival or to purchase equipment.

Hesta MacDonald Legacy Fund - This fund was created by Hesta MacDonald to provide annual grants to schools for the purchase of books for their school library.

David A. MacKay Fund - This fund was established by Mr. MacKay's family in honour of his many accomplishments, his larger than life character, his love for his family, and his love for Prince Edward Island. The income from this fund makes grants to improve the cardiac emergency response system on Prince Edward Island.

North Tryon Women's Institute Legacy Fund - This fund was established by the North Tryon Women's institute in 2010 from the proceeds of the sale of the North Tryon School property and publication of the community history "Remember Yesterday". Income provides grants annually to support Englewood Music & Library Programs, Prince County Hospital Pediatric Wing, and the upkeep of Lord's Pond nature area by the Tryon River Watershed Cooperative. Souris Community Fund - This fund was established by an anonymous donor to help benefit the community of Souris. Grants will be awarded to organizations in the Souris area. Some organizations that benefited from this fund are Harbour View Training Center, Dundas Plowing Match and the Souris Fire Fighters Association.

Summer Islanders Legacy Fund . This fund was established to help enhance Island communities in order to encourage "Summer Islanders" to return each year. Income from this fund awards grants to support community activities such landscapes, arts, heritage, genealogy, health, environment and education.

Taylor Memorial Fund - This fund was established by friends and family to honour and remember Dr. Donald K. Taylor. This fund provides grants to causes determined by the Taylor family.

Visual Arts Fund - This fund was established by Henry Purdy, a professional visual artist, to help support visual arts in PEI. Income from this fund awards grants for any activity that encourages and supports visual arts including training, promotion, studio and exhibition space, as well as, leadership in the field.

Canada Games Host Society Legacy Trust - This fund was established to honor the 2009 Canada Games held in Prince Edward Island. Monies from the fund will provide financial and other material support to programs that enhance the development of coaches, administrators, and officials; and, help support and sustain any facilities built for the 2009 Canada Games.

Arthur and Theresa MacDonald Charitable Trust - The Community Foundation was appointed trustee of this fund in 2011. Monies from the fund will be used to provide grants annually to support the following -- Relieving poverty by making annual donations to charitable organizations whose purposes are the relief of poverty; Advancing education by establishing and awarding annually a scholarship in the name of the trust; Advancing the health and welfare of persons in the community by making annual donations to charitable organizations who contribute to children.s welfare such as Big Brothers and by making annual donations to health related charitable organizations.


Scholarship Funds
Joan Auld Scholarship Fund - This fund was created by the PEI Crafts Council in honour of Joan Auld, former Craft Development Officer with the Province of PEI. Income from this fund is used towards granting a scholarship to a deserving student undertaking full time studies in a craft related field at a recognized institution of applied art, craft and design.

Lorne and Ruby Bonnell Scholarship Fund - This fund awards scholarship to a graduating student from UPEI and who has been accepted into a Canadian University for graduate studies in sciences.

Orin Carver Scholarship Fund - This fund was established at the close of the Canada Winter Games to honour and recognize the leadership of Mr. Orin Carver who was President of the games. Income from this fund awards scholarships annually to a graduate of a PEI High School entering Holland College or UPEI, or a student returning to a post-secondary institute, on a full time basis.

Lowell Phillips Scholarship Fund - This fund was established by friends and associates of Lowell Phillips in honour of a Summerside gentleman who faces and overcame adversity all his life. Grants are awarded to person with a physical disability and who wish to acquire addition training beyond high school but may not have the financial means necessary.

Joseph Spriet Scholarship Program - This fund was established by the Province of Prince Edward Island in honor of the tremendous contribution that Joseph Spriet made to the 2009 Canada Games Host Society. Income from this fund provides grants for residents of PEI pursuing a course of study in a public post-secondary institution in Human Services, Business, Sports or Agriculture.

Summerside Natick Fund - During the period 1961-1979 the communities of Summerside, Prince Edward Island and Natick, Massachusetts participated in a hockey friendship series. In 2001, founding members of the International Friendship Hockey Series Committee decided to establish the Summerside-Natick International Friendship Hockey Fund for the purpose of awarding scholarships to students entering into their first year of a post-secondary institute.

Stephen Turner Memorial Fund - This fund was established in honor of Stephen Turner, a devoted member and activist in the political scene of Prince Edward Island. Income from the fund awards a scholarship to a student who attends a PEI post secondary institution and has shown interest within, and commitment to the political process and community organizations on Prince Edward Island.

Jack Blanchard Music Program for Kids Endowment Fund - This fund was established in honor of Jack Blanchard; teacher, counselor, family man and musician. Monies from the fund will provide bursaries to elementary school students, who have the desire to play music but may not have the financial means necessary.


Agency Funds
CFPEI Administration Fund - This fund was established to assist with the operating expenses of the Foundation.

Indian River Festival Property Endowment Fund - This fund was established by Indian River Festival Association Inc. as a means of long term funding towards property and maintenance of the Indian River Festival. Also, through an initiative by the Department of Canadian Heritage called the Canadian Cultural Investment Fund, money raised for the Indian River Festival Endowment Fund can be matched dollar for dollar by the Federal Government.

LM Montgomery Land Trust Operating Endowment Fund - This fund was established with the purpose to provide annual grants towards the operating costs of the LM Montgomery Land Trust.


Future Funds
Cheryl and Dr. Harry Callaghan Paediatric Trust - This fund was established by Cheryl Callaghan in memory of her late husband Dr. Harry Callaghan, a prominent Island physician. This fund provides grants to qualifying agencies for programs providing travel and other assistance for paediatric patients who need to travel off Island for medical treatment.

Thomas and Betty Hall Endowment Trust - This fund was established by Thomas and Betty Hall to assist various Island initiatives. Some of these initiatives include; education, environment, animal rights and welfare and cemeteries.
