Our Board:

Andrew Daggett:
Andrew Daggett Andrew Daggett is the Chief Administrative Officer for the town of Montague, a position he has held since March of 2007. Prior to that, Andy was the CAO for the Village of Grand Manan, NB for five years. He put himself through university by operating heavy equipment and spent five years after university as a tractor trailer driver, specializing in the transportation of live fish. Andy holds a BSc from Mount Allison University majoring in Psychology, and a level 2 National Advanced Certificate in Local Authority Administration from Dalhousie University and the University of Alberta. Andy has held various positions in several organizations including the Charlotte/Kings CBDC; Fundy Community Foundation; and Rotary Clubs of Grand Manan, NB and Montague, PE. He helps out coaching Junior Boys Basketball and is also actively involved in his church as a deacon and trustee. Andy is married to his beautiful wife Tara and they have one son, Sam.M

Rod Nicholson:
Rod Nicolson Rod Nicholson resides in Summerside with his wife Leona. He works as a business consultant with Dynamic Outcomes Consulting. In the past he has been employed in management positions in both the private and public sector, recently as Operations Manager of Food Trust of PEI and General Manager of Mid-Isle Farms Inc. He has been a director on a number of boards, in both the private and public sectors and has recently joined the Board of Directors of the Community Foundation of Prince Edward Island.

Stanley MacDonald:
Stanley MacDonald Stanley MacDonald graduated from pharmacy at Dalhousie University in 1963 and worked as a pharmaceutical sales representative for two years. He moved to O'Leary in 1965 where he owned and operated an independent pharmacy for 43 years. Stanley is presently involved as a volunteer in the PEI Potato Museum, the Potato Blossom Festival, the O'Leary Area Development Corporation and the Western PEI Tourism Association.

John Robinson:
John Robinson John Robinson and the Robinson family name are well known to the agricultural community on the Island. He grew up on the family farm in Augustine Cove, attended the local 2 room school, then Prince of Wales College, and attained a BSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of New Brunswick. While at UNB he met his wife to be, Hazel, and they moved back to PEI in 1966 to join his father, Eric and brother, Alan in the family business, Eric C Robinson Inc. at Albany. John and Hazel raised their 3 children in North Tryon and the family has grown to include 8 grandchildren, all of whom live with their respective parents in the Charlottetown area. Although he continues to serve as Chairman of the board of directors since retiring in 2001, the Robinson Group of Companies is currently owned and operated by Eric's 6 grandchildren. A successful business person in the agricultural arena, John has held many leadership positions at the local and national level dealing with business development, the economy, the environment, and agriculture. John and Hazel are privileged to now live in Charlottetown where they are quite involved in their grandchildren's lives, travel extensively, all the while being active in their church and various volunteer roles including John's current role as President of the Community Foundation of PEI.

Dr. Don Glendenning:
Dr. Don Glendenning Dr. Donald Glendenning, C.M. is a founding member and a former President of the Prince Edward Island Community Foundation. President Emeritus of Holland College, he now chairs the New Initiatives Committee, produces the Foundation's Newsletter, and graciously provides wisdom, energy and guidance to the volunteer Board. Don and his wife Carol live in Charlottetown. He was the First President of Holland College.

Rogers Bell:
Rogers Bell Rogers Bell was appointed to the Board in January, 2009. A native of Charlottetown, Rogers retired to PEI in 2008 after a career in the financial industry in Quebec, Alberta and Ontario. Since returning to PEI, he has joined the boards of the North Shore Community Centre and the North Shore Senior's Housing, both located in Stanhope, where he resides with his wife Phyllis.

Tracey Laughlin:
Tracey Laughlin Tracey Laughlin received her CMA Designation in 1996 after graduating from St. Mary's University. Tracey currently is the Vice President of Finance at On-Line Support Inc., a call centre headquartered in Charlottetown, with 9 sites in PEI, NS and ON and approximately 1800 staff. Prior to joining On-Line Support, Tracey held various positions of responsibility in United States and Canada.

Joyce Gaudet:
Joyce Gaudet Joyce Gaudet grew up in Wellington P.E.I. She retired in March 2006 after 33 years as a librarian with Unit 3 School Board and with Veterans Affairs Canada. She joined the Board in December 2006 and serves on the Granting Committee. Joyce is also involved in several community, church and professional organizations.

Tom Davies:
Tom Davies Tom Davies is the Charter President of the Community Foundation having been a part of the Foundation's formation in the late 1980's. Tom, along with his family, are the franchisees of Kentucky Fried Chicken for Prince Edward Island. He has been involved in many organizations related to municipal governance, area development, volunteerism, and church. He is a Rotarian and Jaycee Senator. Tom is married to Eleanor (Haywood) Davies and they live in Stratford.

Carol Fraser:
Carol Fraser Carol was born in Eldon and educated in Montague. Carol has been an active member in her community for 30 years through her involvement with the charitable and community organizations. Carol has a keen sense of community and a desire to assist those in need. Her involvement in her community is an indication of her desire to see her communities grow. Employed in areas of accounting and management in various sectors in PEI and has been the Controller at Rollo Bay Holdings since 1988.

Steve McQuaid:
Steve McQuaid Steve worked with the PEI Government for 23 years and has been a consultant for the past 12 years. He is involved in focused group facilitation, program evaluation, strategic planning, community capacity building, and other qualitative research services, labour market and related areas. Steve is presently Chair of the Marketing and Communications Committee.

Jim Travers:
Jim Travers Jim Travers graduated from Dalhousie University with a law degree in 1980 and is currently practicing corporate law with the Stewart McKelvey law firm in Charlottetown. He became Queen's Counsel in 1998 and has been listed as one of the best lawyers in Canada. He currently serves as a director with several groups including the Fathers of Confederation Building Trust, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation, the Children's Wish Foundation and The Community Foundation of PEI.
